Do You Have Wet Clothes In The Washer?

The Satiated Blonde

Updated: Jan 24, 2022

No joke, as I sat down to write this post, I was reminded, yes, I do have wet clothes in the washer...and that is almost always my answer. I have such a hard time remembering to switch over the laundry. And, when I do remember to put them in the dryer, the dryer doesn't get it dry in the first round so there's another chance for mildew smell. Adding insult to injury, I have a front loading washer, which means it is mold town already, without my forgetfulness.

So, if you have clothes in the washer, go switch them now. You can finish reading when you get back!

Alright, so how did this all start? First, by the things I listed above. Secondly, because my husband's nose is much more sensitive to the mildew smell than me. One night I had to completely change because my pajamas smelled so bad. Third, I didn't want to throw away my most comfy pj's, just because I can't remember to switch the laundry. But, there's no sense in keeping them if I'm not going to wear them, right? Right.

So, I soaked those pj's with vinegar, a silver mix, essential oils, I worked off and on for days. Washed them again, and it didn't pass my husband's smell test.

One more chance, I thought! I heard of Microbalance Health and thought I'd try it, besides, these weren't going to be the only clothes I forgot about in the washer.

Once my package arrived, I cleaned out my washer and did a cycle with just the laundry additive in extra hot water. Then, it was time. The pajamas I'd stashed away that smelled so bad (even I could smell them), went in the washer with the EC3. I put some in the drum and some in the bleach area. I set my timer so I didn't forget to put them in the dryer. Fifty minutes later, warm clothes in hand, I took them to my husband to smell and he smelled nothing! No mildew smell!

I am continuing to use it (both in the drum and the bleach area) until I cycle through all our clothes & towels...then I think I will just use it in one of those places (not sure which, yet). One thing I noticed is not only did the clean, dry laundry not smell bad, but it had a freshness to it that I've missed for so long! I use unscented laundry detergent, so this is such a refreshing surprise!

-Rinse Away Bacteria and Mold Spores from clothes, linens, and towels:

EC3 Laundry Additive rinses away bacteria and mold spores that get trapped in your clothing and other fabrics that regular washing alone doesn't eliminate. Stop wearing mold on your clothes and carrying it with you right under your nose, wherever you go.

Going to bed each night with moldy sheets and pillowcases can cause allergy symptoms and poor sleep quality. Night sweating and the shedding of dead skin cells also contribute to mold growth in linens and pillowcases. EC3 Laundry Additive tackles this problem and also removes odors from musty and sweaty gym clothes. When sweat meets bacteria and/or mold on your skin or clothing, putrid odors result. Unfortunately, people often mistakenly try to use fabric softener to eliminate these odors but doing so only adds chemical fragrances and masks the problem. Clean is actually the ABSENCE of smell. EC3 Laundry Additive gets your washable fabrics clean by rinsing away the mold and bacteria that create the odors in the first place.

-Maintain a Mold-Free Washing Machine:

"EC3 Laundry Additive helps maintain a clean and odor-free washing machine, especially high-efficiency front-loading machines. Front loaders can trap residual moisture and fabric softener, fostering a moldy environment after each load. Clean your clothes, linens, and washing machine with EC3 Laundry Additive and improve your health." Use my affiliate code: SATIATEDBLONDE to save on your purchase!

Note, this isn't a laundry soap, just an addition.

I also purchased the mold solution spray, which I haven't had a chance to use yet, but I'll be sure to keep you updated! Now go switch over your laundry, and as always, #GetSatiated,
