Farmer's Market Salsa

The Satiated Blonde

There's nothing like real, fresh, organic, heirloom tomatoes that have been truly ripened on the vine! My hubby and I have been making our own salsa with these quality ingredients and the next step is to try canning some so we can enjoy our recipe all summer long!

Here's how we did it:

  • 1 pint mixed tomatoes (cherry tomatoes, pear tomatoes, orange banana, & black zebra)

  • 4 tomatillos

  • 1 red bell pepper

  • 3 cherry bomb peppers

  • 1 cayenne pepper

  • 2 tsp Icelandic Flake Salt [Code: SATIATEDBLONDE to save]

  • 1/4 c glyphosate free olive oil

  • 1/2 lime, juiced

  • 1 clove garlic

  • 2 green onion bulbs, roughly chopped

- Roast everything from the cayenne peppers up on a sheet pan for 25 minutes at 350 degrees & finish on broil for 5 minutes.

- Let cool

- Blend all ingredients in Vitamix until smooth

- Enjoy!

Have you ever made your own salsa? Leave me a comment below and let me know! As always, #GetSatiated.
