I was excited to purchase a couple of each of these shampoos, conditioners, and hairsprays, to really try them out--and they're all I've been using for months now. When I opened my box, unfortunately, a few had leaked out during shipping. They did replace them, reluctantly.
Botanical Line: The ingredients are straightforward and free of synthetics. They also include that they're free of steroids, which makes me very leery of other brands that I had no idea may put steroids in their ingredients, eek!
Botanical Conditioner: Comes out in a shampoo consistency, which was surprising, but it isn't too hard to brush my hair after I get out of the shower using this -- which is really what I'm looking for.
Botanical Shampoo: They have an unscented and a tree essence. I prefer the pump spout, and although I like the slight smell of the peppermint, both work fine. I think this one has more lather!
Peppermint shampoo + conditioner: These work fine. I cannot say I am over-the-top about them, but they are some of the cleanest shampoo and conditioner combos I've found. If I had to pick between the botanical conditioner and this one, I'd pick the botanical -- plus the pump spout is so much more convenient. Oh, the shampoo can also be used as a body wash. I actually tend to use my body wash as a shampoo for when I travel. You can read more about it here!
Hairspray
Do you know how long it's been since I've used hairspray? It's been a long time! I did make my own hair d'tangler two summers ago (which was fun, but a lot of work) and have tried making my own gel (using mostly aloe vera)...but real hairspray? That I've put on my head myself? A LONG TIME! That last part may sound weird, but if I get my hair done for a wedding, it's all hairsprayed up, ya know what I mean?
Like many others, this hairspray doesn't hold very well in my hair, but it does a little! And it has some of the cleanest ingredients I've found in a more natural hairspray, with none of the nauseating smells! I don't smell anything using this hairspray. My hair doesn't hold curl well at all, but this does give it a bit of texture. And, possibly most important of all, it's not too hard to brush out, either!
After using these products for almost a year now, I will possibly repurchase...but I am still searching for other brands that work well and can compete with their ingredient list!
Do you have a favorite 'clean' shampoo, conditioner, and styling company you've tried? Have you used any of these? Tell me in the comments and as always, #GetSatiated.
