My daily coffee has gone through several iterations, but three main ones that have each lasted years on end:
Coffee Sludge (hot)
Egg Yolk Coffee (hot)
Maple Coffee (cold)
If you're wondering if it's still currently cold, the answer is...YES! That's a trend I've been on for almost three years, now! This new recipe has been in my routine for six months, now! Although I always try to have breakfast first, sometimes I don't, so I really like the protein in this. It's also super easy to make and the cleanup time is almost nonexistent (especially compared to cleaning out the Vitamix everyday!). Before I share how I make my protein coffee, you should know the main ingredient is actually milk. Raw milk, to be exact! Here's how I do it:
Add milk into the cup first (I find if I put the powders in first, they kind of stick to the bottom and don't blend as well)
Half a scoop of protein powder (code: SATIATEDBLONDE) (Read more about my protein powder here)
Blend with hand blender (this works so well!)
Splash of coffee (code: SATIATEDBLONDE)
Carefully drop in a giant coffee cube
Top with more milk until almost overflowing
Enjoy!
Yep, that's it! Even if I have to make coffee (I try to keep some in the fridge ready to go, usually), it takes just a few minutes compared to the coffee sludge which would take upwards of 20 minutes!
