sunning my teeth

Do I sun my teeth? Yah, I do. Do I recommend it for anyone else? Do I have any research? NO. Or am I just smiling because it's sunny? LOL! Remember, I just share what I do here haha. But, I DO have some really awesome oral care products I've been using for about the past five months and I am loving them!

  1. Toothpowder - I have used toothpowders before, but most of them burnt my oral mucosa. I haven't experienced that with any of these from Frau Fowler I've tried:

  • Power Mint - with peppermint, wintergreen, spearmint, its slightly sweet (gotta love that wintergreen), super minty (times three!), and slightly spicy

  • Botanical Mint - with peppermint, eucalyptus, & clove, it's herby and minty...while most products with clove in them irritates my oral mucosa, this one doesn't

  • Licorice Mint - with peppermint, anise, and fennel it has a perfect sweetness, spice, and mint balance. I really like them all, but this is my fave! I like to pair it with the anise toothpaste below and then put on this lip lotion! It's delightful right before bed!

2. Toothpaste - I use Dr. Bronner's and bounce back and forth between their peppermint and anise. Their wintergreen is great when I can find it, too! Oh, and I have to mention I like having the anise as a non-mint option for when I take homeopathics! I just saw one of my favorite companies released this Wintergreen Clean Charcoal Toothpaste that is next on my list to try, yes please (find it under their oral care tab).

3. Lumineux Whitening Mouthwash - Even my hubby enjoys this, which is hard to please him in the natural oral care department, haha!!!

4. Tongue Scraping - I've been doing this for years, and if you've been following me long enough, you might remember this being a gift of the year about five years ago! Haha!

5. Oil Pulling - I switch what I use for this, sometimes it's just straight coconut oil, sometimes it's sesame seed oil, and other times it is this Mint + Myrrh Swishing Serum.

6. Neem Enamelizer Toothpolish - I've been using this for awhile, following the protocol on Living Libations.

7. Smart Floss - Love theirs with activated charcoal and enjoy adding a drop of happy gum drops along the floss takes it up a notch.

8. Gum Syringe - I put a fully saturated salt water solution in the syringes and think they're better for my gums than an automated water flossing system.

9. mBalance - this is vibration extracted pearl powder. I drop 1 scoop from the scooper in the bag straight in my mouth...sometimes I use it as my toothpowder, other times I use it after the toothpowder/in addition to. (affiliate code: SB10)

Oh, and I've been using Dr. Tung's ionic toothbrush for about several years now, and it's the longest I've ever stuck with any toothbrush!

Wow. That's a lot when I see it all written out, but it's pretty straight forward. Nadine Artemis also wrote an awesome book on Holistic Dental Care and has a great infographic on her site, under the ORAL CARE tab.

Sun's out, teeth's out. As always, #GetSatiated.
