We've tried a few different coffee beans lately, including home roasted ones! Yes, I'm still drinking mine iced--so surprising haha, but have tweaked it once again! Today I wanted to share about some other coffee we've tried, as well as some we've home roasted, and my ultimate favorite.

I've shared a little about the Costco coffee we've tried out here. I really like the one from Peru and Oaxaca and don't get any of the mold/mycotoxin exposure feelings after drinking it - which is great and it is priced well!

Speaking of Costco, I found medium roasted Ruta Maya coffee company out of Austin, TX that was also well enjoyed in our home! The website describes it as, "Mellow yet full-bodied roast. Mild acidity with smooth flavor and a soft finish. Shade-grown 100% Arabica beans, certified USDA organic by the Texas Department of Agriculture. Cultivated by a cooperative of Maya Indian farmers in the Highlands of Chiapas, Mexico." I'd order it again! It's still available and under fifty dollars for five pounds.

We also like to home roast and have gotten our beans from a few different places, but most recently from a brand that checks all my boxes! I also like their pre-roasted coffee, and it's my favorite, single origin Guatemalan! My hubby picked up this home coffee roaster at a garage sale and really likes it! We also got these awesome bags to store coffee in that have a nice zip seal and off-gassing vent, which is needed for freshly roasted coffee (note: linked is similar, the ones I purchased are no longer available, unfortunately).

If you want to read about our first adventure in home coffee roasting, I share more here. I really do like the home roasted coffee and appreciate the quality of well-sourced beans. We really just don't have time to home roast all the coffee we drink (even though my cups usually have less coffee and more raw milk now, haha).

Whether I'm traveling (see sachet picture) or at home, this is still my favorite coffee based on taste (affiliate code: SATIATEDBLONDE). The flavor and robustness is unparalleled. I like that it's rigorously third-party tested and "free from pesticide residue, mold, mycotoxins, and other contaminants" as their website states. They are also vigilant in their farming, sourcing, and roasting.
